About Your Funeral Singer / Soloist  Marianne Lihannah

I am  a highly trained and experienced solo singer who has specialised in singing at funeral services.
It takes a combination of skill, musicality, professionalism, experience and commitment to:
Be organised, warmed up and fully rehearsed on arrival.
Sing when people around you may be in tears.
Learn and perform a wide variety of music, in a very short timespan.

As an experienced Funeral singer and performer, I am equally at home with singing in large and small churches, crematoria as well as singing by the graveside or in the home etc. If a backing track is needed, either for singing at the grave side or in a church, where they don't have any sound system, I can bring my busker speaker and mic if needed. I already own many high-quality backing tracks.
I have always sung with sincerity and compassion as a funeral singer. And I always feel honoured to be part of such an important family occasion.

My ethos is that every performance is of equal importance and that preparation is the key to ensuring that in my role as a Funeral singer, I will always give of my very best. I endeavour to be helpful, flexible and understanding and to make sure that the arrangements for the Funeral or Memorial Service are handled with the utmost respect and sensitivity. Each Funeral is very personal to me and I understand how important the choice of music is for a family.

If required I can advise on funeral song choices. This is a service which is included in the fee. I have an extensive selection of songs and hymns available not included on my website, so please feel free to contact me and I can deal personally with any requests that you may have.

I have sung in countless churches, chapels, crematoria and cathedrals, including, Brecon Cathedral, Gloucester Cathedral, Chartres Cathedral, Malmesbury Abbey, to name a few of the larger venues. But I equally love just as much to sing in small or medium sized churches and crematoria, as well as by the grave side. My singing has been featured on a number of radio programmes quite a few times over the last years. Also as part of an interview about my work as a funeral singer on the radio.

I have full public liability insurance.
